GDPR Compliance

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This page explains how AdOne approaches the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data-subject rights available to you, and — in detail — your right to erasure and how to delete your account. AdOne is a platform for advertising space in India, operated by . For the full picture of how we handle personal data, read our Privacy Policy.

Delete your account yourself. You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the AdOne app (Profile › Delete account), or via our secure web flow. Deletion erases your personal details and frees your phone number for re-use. See Right to erasure below for exactly what happens.

1. Scope

This page applies to individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom whose personal data we process, where and to the extent the GDPR (and UK GDPR) applies. AdOne is operated from India and primarily serves the Indian advertising-space market; if you are in India, your personal data is governed principally by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and our Privacy Policy. The rights described here are offered to all users in spirit, regardless of location, subject to applicable law.

2. Our role

For personal data processed through the AdOne products, acts as the data controller — we determine the purposes and means of the processing. Where we use service providers (for example, hosting and notification delivery), they act as our processors, handling data on our instructions.

3. Lawful bases

We process personal data on one or more of the following lawful bases under Article 6 GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract — to create and operate your account and to help facilitate a deal between the parties.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the platform safe and reliable (fraud prevention, abuse handling and security), balanced against your rights and freedoms.
  • Consent — where required, for example certain push notifications; you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.

4. Your data-subject rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights:

  • Access — obtain confirmation of whether we process your data and a copy of it.
  • Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Erasure — have your personal data deleted ("right to be forgotten"); see section 6.
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability — receive the data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible.
  • Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your situation.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

5. How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email from, or referencing, the phone number or email associated with your account. To protect your data, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law — under the GDPR, generally within one month, which may be extended where a request is complex (we will tell you if so). We do not charge a fee for reasonable requests.

6. Right to erasure (delete your account)

You can delete your AdOne account at any time. Here is exactly what deletion does:

  • Erases your personal details — including your name, email and business/company name.
  • Frees your phone number — your number is released so it can be re-used to register a new account in future.
  • Takes down spaces you've listed — any advertising space you've listed is removed so others can no longer see it.
  • Closes your open inquiries — any inquiries you have open are closed.
  • Retains de-identified deal/inquiry records — we keep de-identified records of completed deals and inquiries for legitimate legal, tax and audit purposes. These records no longer identify you.

How to delete

  • In-app: open the AdOne app and go to Profile › Delete account.
  • Secure web flow: use our dedicated account-deletion page on this website.
  • By email: contact and we will process your request after verifying your identity.

If you use AdOne both to advertise and to list space, deleting one removes that part and keeps the other. Your account is fully erased only when the last remaining part is removed — at which point your personal details are erased and your phone number is freed.

Some data may be retained where we have an overriding legal obligation or a legitimate need (for example, the de-identified records noted above), as permitted by Article 17(3) GDPR. After erasure of identifying data, the residual records can no longer be linked back to you.

7. International transfers

Because AdOne is operated from India, personal data of EEA/UK users may be transferred to and processed in India and other countries where our service providers operate. Where we make such transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR — such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision — to ensure your data continues to be protected.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. When you delete your account, we erase your personal details and free your phone number; de-identified deal and inquiry records may be retained for legal, tax, accounting and audit purposes as described in section 6. See also Retention in the Privacy Policy.

9. Complaints to a supervisory authority

If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not handled your personal data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority (for example, your national Data Protection Authority, or the UK Information Commissioner's Office). We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first — please contact us using the details below.
