Abuse Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This Abuse Policy is the acceptable-use policy for the AdOne marketplace operated by ("AdOne", "we", "us"). It applies to everyone who uses our products — the AdOne app and this website. By using AdOne you agree to follow this policy.

The short version. List only ad spaces you genuinely own or have the right to list, with real photos and honest details. Don't try to contact the other party off-platform to evade AdOne, don't scrape or probe the platform, and don't post unlawful content. We act on abuse — from warnings to termination and, where required, referral to the authorities.

1. Purpose

AdOne is a marketplace for outdoor advertising. We connect advertising-space owners with advertisers and help facilitate a deal between them. This policy keeps the marketplace safe, lawful and trustworthy by setting out what you may and may not do. As an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 ("IT Rules, 2021"), we carry out due diligence and act on unlawful content within statutory timelines.

2. Prohibited content

You must not upload, list or transmit any content that is, or that depicts or promotes:

  • Illegal, fraudulent or misleading listings — ad spaces that do not exist, are unavailable, are deceptively described, or are priced or specified to mislead advertisers.
  • Misrepresenting ownership or the right to list — listing an ad space you do not own or have no lawful right to list or sub-let.
  • Obscene, hateful, defamatory or infringing imagery — pornographic, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful images, or imagery that infringes another party's intellectual-property rights.
  • Personal data of third parties — phone numbers, addresses, faces or other personal information of people who have not consented, including in listing photos.
  • Anything else that is unlawful in India or violates a third party's rights.

For intellectual-property complaints, see our IPR Complaints and Trademark Policy pages.

3. Prohibited conduct

Regardless of the content involved, you must not:

  • Spam the platform or other users with unsolicited or bulk messages, inquiries or listings — see our Anti-spam Policy.
  • Scrape or extract data by automated means — crawlers, bots, scripts or harvesting of listings, photos, phone numbers or any other data.
  • Reverse-engineer or probe security — attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, penetrate, scan or otherwise probe our apps, APIs or infrastructure. Coordinated, responsible disclosure is welcome — see our Security page.
  • Bypass location privacy — attempt to discover an ad space's exact location before it is made available to you, or contact the other party off-platform to evade AdOne. Advertisers see only an approximate location until the exact location is made available for a qualified inquiry; trying to circumvent this is a violation.
  • Harass any user or member of our team, or engage in threatening, abusive or intimidating behaviour.
  • Impersonate any person, business or AdOne itself, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Circumvent suspensions — create new accounts or use other means to evade a suspension, ban or other enforcement action.

4. Listing integrity

Owners are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of every listing. You must:

  • List only real inventory you own or control, with the genuine right to advertise and let it.
  • Upload accurate photos — between 2 and 10 real, current images of the actual ad space, not stock, stolen or misleading pictures.
  • Keep specifications, dimensions, availability and pricing truthful and up to date.
  • Quote your listing's ad code when you contact us about it, so we can find it quickly.

Listings that fail these standards may be rejected at review or removed after publication.

5. Reporting abuse

If you see content or conduct that breaks this policy, report it to . To help us act quickly, please include:

  • The ad code and/or listing URL, or a description of where the abuse appears.
  • A clear description of the problem and why you believe it violates this policy.
  • Your contact details so we can follow up if we need more information.
  • Any supporting evidence, such as screenshots, where available.

6. Our enforcement

When we find a violation, we take action proportionate to its severity and the user's history. Depending on the circumstances, we may:

ActionWhen we may use it
WarningMinor or first-time issues that can be corrected
Content removalListings, photos or messages that violate this policy
SuspensionRepeated or serious violations, pending review
TerminationSevere, repeated or unlawful conduct, or evasion of enforcement
Referral to authoritiesConduct that appears to break the law

We may take any of these steps without prior notice where required to protect users, the public or the integrity of the marketplace.

7. Law-enforcement cooperation

We cooperate with law-enforcement and regulatory authorities as required by Indian law. We may preserve, access and disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a lawful request, to enforce our terms, to detect or prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights, property or safety of AdOne, our users or the public.

8. Grievance redressal

In line with the IT Rules, 2021, we maintain a grievance-redressal mechanism. You can reach our at . We aim to acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receipt; certain categories of content are actioned on an expedited basis as required by law.
